Sedriques Dumas removed from UFC roster, sentenced in case following 2025 arrest

Sedriques Dumas has been removed from the UFC roster following his April 2025 arrest on charges including home invasion, battery, and weapon possession. The 30-year-old fighter competed three times during the proceedings before resolving his case in June. Dumas pleaded no-contest to two counts — possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana over 20 grams — in Escambia County, Florida. He received a sentence of six months of community control, which functions as house arrest in Florida, with concurrent 48-month probation on both charges. Additionally, Dumas must complete 50 hours of community service, obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommended treatment, attend anger management counseling, and maintain full-time employment. He is barred from possessing weapons or firearms and must pay associated court fees. The sentence was handed down June 24. Dumas filed a motion on July 10 to modify his probation and community control terms, which remains under court review. His removal from the UFC roster came effective immediately; it is unclear whether his contract expired or if the promotion released him. His last UFC fight was in April against Jackson McVey, a submission loss that extended his skid to two consecutive defeats. Dumas is now free to sign with other promotions, though the UFC retains the option to re-sign him in the future.
