Sedriques Dumas' UFC run ends after disappointing three-year stint

Sedriques Dumas' tumultuous UFC stint has ended after three years in the promotion. The 30-year-old was no longer on the roster following an overwhelmingly disappointing tenure that saw his career derailed by both competitive losses and serious legal troubles.

Dumas (10-5) arrived in the UFC in 2023 as a highly touted undefeated prospect, but his Octagon record deteriorated to 3-5 with one no-contest, far below expectations. His decline accelerated dramatically after his arrest in April 2025 on felony charges including home invasion, battery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Following his arrest, Dumas failed to secure another victory, losing his final two fights and exiting the promotion on a two-fight skid. His last outing ended in a submission loss to Jackson McVey in April 2026.

The UFC's decision to release or decline to renew his contract came shortly after his sentencing in June 2026. Though three of five charges were dropped, Dumas pleaded no contest to the two remaining counts. He was sentenced to six months of community control, 48 months of probation, 50 hours of community service, and mandatory anger management counseling.
