Liz Carmouche gets Jena Bishop rematch in Chicago with new PFL title at stake

The Professional Fighters League will crown its first women's flyweight champion on October 16 in Chicago. Liz Carmouche and Jena Bishop will rematch for the inaugural PFL women's flyweight title at PFL Chicago, held at Wintrust Arena.

Carmouche (26–8) dominated their first meeting last August, stopping Bishop in the third round. The record suggests a lopsided affair, but Bishop (11–3) has since rebounded impressively, securing first-round stoppages over Borena Tsertsvadze and Ariane Lipski da Silva. Carmouche, meanwhile, extended her winning streak to four with a submission victory over Viviane Araujo in June.

The inaugural women's flyweight title marks the first new championship introduced since the PFL's merger with Most Valuable Promotions. PFL CEO John Martin emphasized Chicago's growing importance to the promotion, calling it the ideal stage to crown the division's first champion. Both fighters have proven themselves among the world's elite at 125 pounds, setting the stage for a title-deciding rematch.
