Mateusz Gamrot vs. Quillan Salkilld announced for UFC Vegas 120 main event

The UFC has announced Mateusz Gamrot versus Quillan Salkilld as the main event for UFC Vegas 120, a lightweight bout scheduled for August 8 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas.
Gamerot (26-4) enters the matchup ranked No. 9 in the lightweight division. The Polish fighter last competed in April, securing a second-round arm-triangle submission victory over Esteban Ribovics. His recent record has been inconsistent, with alternating wins and losses across his last four outings. He defeated Klein and Ribovics while falling to Charles Oliveira and Dan Hooker, leaving him with a 9-4 UFC record.
Salkilld (12-1) represents an ascending threat at No. 13 in the rankings. The 26-year-old Australian prospect has been on a dominant run since joining the UFC in February 2025, compiling a perfect 5-0 record. Most impressively, Salkilld has finished four of his five opponents in the first round, including a May knockout over longtime contender Beneil Dariush that earned him a fight bonus. Following that standout performance, Salkilld called for a bout with Gamrot—a request the UFC has now granted at Vegas 120.
