Report: LFA champ booked for Octagon debut at UFC 330

Lucas Fernando, the reigning Legacy Fighting Alliance light heavyweight champion, has signed with the UFC and will make his Octagon debut at UFC 330 on August 15 in Philadelphia. The Brazilian will face Rafael Tobias in a light heavyweight matchup.

Fernando (13–3) previously appeared on Dana White's Contender Series three years ago, where he suffered a decision loss to Cesar Almeida in 2023. After another setback in LFA, he rebounded with four consecutive wins, his last two ending in finishes, establishing himself as a regional title holder. Tobias (14–2) will be seeking his first UFC victory after earning his contract via submission win over Jair de Oliveira on DWCS in 2025; he dropped his Octagon debut to Diyar Nurgozhay in March.

UFC 330 will be headlined by Islam Makhachev versus Ian Garry for the light heavyweight title, with Mackenzie Dern taking on Gillian Robertson in the co-main event for the women's strawweight title.
