Salahdine Parnasse to make Octagon debut against Dan Hooker at UFC Paris

The UFC has announced that highly-touted lightweight prospect Salahdine Parnasse will make his octagon debut against veteran Dan Hooker at UFC Paris on September 5th. The event, also known as UFC Fight Night 287, takes place at the Accor Arena in Paris and will air on Paramount+.

Parnasse (23-2) is regarded as one of the finest fighters to compete outside the UFC before his promotional signing. A two-time Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW) featherweight champion, Parnasse most recently competed under the MVP MMA banner, where he stopped Kenneth Cross with punches just 4:18 into their bout. The 23-2 fighter is on a five-fight winning streak that includes a victory over UFC veteran Marcin Held, making him one of the most decorated prospects to enter the promotion in recent memory.

Hooker, a seasoned UFC lightweight, will look to derail Parnasse's undefeated start to his UFC career. The pairing is scheduled for five rounds. UFC Paris will also feature a featherweight matchup between Morgan Charriere and Felipe Lima and a welterweight clash between Michael Page and Nursulton Ruziboev, among other bouts.
