Bryan Battle wants Jake Paul MMA fight but doubts he’ll accept

Bryan Battle called out Jake Paul following his split-decision victory over Dalton Rosta in the main event of PFL Charlotte at Bojangles Coliseum. The win marked Battle's first triumph under the PFL banner after he lost to Johnny Eblen in his promotional debut.

When asked post-fight about a potential matchup with Paul, Battle expressed willingness but skepticism. "I would," Battle said. "I don't think Jake Paul would fight me. But I would fight Jake Paul for sure." The call-out carries added significance given that Most Valuable Promotions, Paul's company, recently merged with the PFL in a landmark deal uniting the two combat sports organizations under the MVP umbrella.

Paul has built his profile primarily in boxing but has repeatedly indicated interest in eventually competing in MMA. Battle, meanwhile, compiled a 7-1 record in the Ultimate Fighting Championship before departing the promotion due to recurring weight-cut issues. His record now stands at 1-1 in the PFL. While Battle appears ready to test himself against Paul, the likelihood of the YouTube personality-turned-boxer accepting such a bout remains uncertain, particularly given the competitive gulf between a seasoned MMA middleweight and someone making a potential promotional crossover.
