With Deen The Great out, Henry Cejudo faces undefeated MVP fighter at Misfits Boxing event

Henry Cejudo will make his boxing debut against undefeated Most Valuable Promotions fighter Wanna Walton on September 26 at a Misfits Boxing event in Miami, after Cejudo's originally scheduled opponent Deen The Great withdrew due to injury.

Walton, a 20-year-old actor known for roles in Euphoria and The Umbrella Academy, has compiled a 3-0-1 record under the Jake Paul-led MVP banner, including a first-round knockout victory in his debut. The bout represents a significant collaboration between Misfits and MVP, with the latter offering a substantial financial guarantee to Walton for accepting the short-notice opportunity.

Cejudo, 39, is one of combat sports' most decorated athletes. He won Olympic gold in freestyle wrestling at the 2008 Beijing Games and became a two-division UFC champion, capturing titles at both bantamweight (135 pounds) and flyweight (125 pounds). After retiring in 2020 and attempting a comeback in 2023, Cejudo spent four fights out of the win column before retiring from MMA in 2025. Recently, he has shifted focus to grappling under the RAF banner, defeating UFC legend Urijah Faber in his debut and splitting a series with past UFC opponent Merab Dvalishvili before avenging a loss to Dvalishvili with a pinfall victory in just 36 seconds this past August.

Cejudo responded characteristically to the opponent change, saying he knew Deen The Great would back out and expressing confidence that he will dominate Walton. The boxing debut offers Cejudo a chance to test himself in a new combat sport against an undefeated young talent.
