Sinister allegations revealed about Anthony Smith’s arrest
Former UFC fighter Anthony Smith faces serious legal charges following his arrest in Sarpy County, Nebraska. The retired light heavyweight title challenger was arrested on charges of false imprisonment of the first degree, terroristic threats, and domestic violence resulting in bodily injury. A Sarpy County judge set his bond at $500,000 and issued a no-contact order with his wife.
According to prosecutors, the incident escalated after Smith was allegedly kicked out of a concert the night before. When his wife refused to leave with him, Smith allegedly threatened to kill her and forced her into a vehicle. After his wife managed to exit the vehicle, authorities allege Smith attempted to run her over multiple times. Witnesses who assisted Smith's wife and children reported hearing gunshots coming from inside the house.
Smith retired from the UFC on a three-fight losing streak and recently competed in Bareknuckle MMA in April, securing a submission victory. The allegations paint a troubling picture of domestic violence and have resulted in serious criminal charges that could carry substantial consequences for the former fighter-turned-analyst.
