UFC 330 gets matchup of ranked flyweights

Two ranked flyweights on the cusp of title contention will collide at UFC 330 in Philadelphia on August 15. The promotion confirmed Wednesday that Erin Blanchfield will face Jasmine Jasudavicius in a 125-pound matchup at the Xfinity Mobile Arena. The event is headlined by a welterweight title bout between Islam Makhachev and Ian Garry, with strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern defending against Gillian Robertson in the co-main event.

Blanchfield enters with an 8–1 UFC record, though her lone setback—a unanimous decision loss to Manon Fiorot at UFC on ESPN 54 in March 2024—has kept her outside title consideration. The 27-year-old from New Jersey has since rebounded with consecutive wins over Rose Namajunas and Tracy Cortez, rebuilding momentum in a stacked flyweight division.

Jasudavicius has also encountered Fiorot's dominance. The 37-year-old Canadian had strung together five consecutive UFC victories from January 2024 through May 2025 before being stopped by Fiorot in just 74 seconds last October. She returned to winning ways on April 18 at UFC Fight Night 276, capturing a three-round decision against Karine Silva.

Both fighters have legitimate claims to moving closer to a title shot with a strong performance. Their common opponent in Fiorot underscores the caliber of the flyweight division, where a pair of wins at the top can accelerate a fighter's path to gold. The matchup adds depth to an already stacked Philadelphia card.
