Brendan Allen, Christian Leroy Duncan collide in UFC Vegas 122 main event
Brendan Allen and Christian Leroy Duncan will headline UFC Vegas 122 on October 10 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, in what shapes up as a significant middleweight main event.
Allen enters the bout riding a three-fight winning streak that includes impressive victories over top contenders Edmen Shahbazyan and Marvin Vettori—both performances earned Fight of the Night honors. This will mark his fifth main event in the UFC. However, Allen's momentum was halted previously when he suffered back-to-back decision losses to Nassourdine Imavov and Anthony Hernandez, breaking what had been a seven-fight winning run.
Duncan, fighting out of England, arrives on a five-fight winning streak and has not suffered a defeat in over two years. The former Cage Warriors middleweight champion will be making his first UFC headline appearance. His biggest career victory to date came recently against Jared Cannonier, a former UFC title challenger, positioning him as a serious threat at 185 pounds.
The UFC Vegas 122 card also features Lupita Godinez versus Ketlen Souza, Andre Fili against Kai Kamaka III, and Julius Walker versus Gerald Meerschaert. The main event represents a crucial middleweight clash between two fighters in strong form, with the winner positioned to move closer to title considerations.
