Salahdine Parnasse headlines UFC Paris in octagon debut vs. Dan Hooker

Salahdine Parnasse will make his UFC octagon debut in the main event of UFC Paris on September 5 at Accor Arena, facing Dan Hooker in a lightweight showdown.

Parnasse, a former two-division KSW champion, has impressed since joining the UFC ranks. The Polish striker made his United States debut in May on the Rousey vs. Carano card, where he delivered a dominant first-round knockout of Kenneth Cross. That victory extended his winning streak to five consecutive fights. During his tenure with KSW, Parnasse compiled a 14–2 record and has quickly established himself as one of the more exciting recent signings to the promotion.

Hooker will be looking to snap a tough stretch of his own. The New Zealand fighter, known as "Hangman," has suffered back-to-back stoppage losses. Most recently, he was stopped by Benoit Saint Denis at UFC 325 in February, and prior to that loss, he was dominated and submitted by top contender Arman Tsarukyan in the main event of UFC Qatar in November. A victory over Parnasse in Paris would help Hooker rebuild momentum in the competitive lightweight division.
