Jessie Rosas has no problem being known as Raul Rosas Jr.’s brother for now: ‘It doesn’t bother me’

Jessie Rosas has earned his long-awaited UFC call and will make his promotional debut at UFC Vegas 120 on short notice against Miles Johns. The 23-year-old featherweight, who carries an 8-1 record from regional competition, received the opportunity on just one week's notice and accepted without hesitation.

Rosas is the older brother of bantamweight prospect Raul Rosas Jr., who signed with the UFC as a teenager and has already become a notable name on the roster. Raul frequently mentioned his fighting family and his desire to see them join him in the UFC, and Jessie now becomes the first of his four fighter siblings to do so. Despite knowing that "Raul Rosas' brother" will follow him for the foreseeable future, Jessie embraces the connection and views it as motivation to carve his own legacy.

"It doesn't bother me," Rosas said of the inevitable comparisons. "I'll take it if that's what they want to know me for. In the future, they'll know me for winning fights."

With Raul scheduled to corner him for his debut, Jessie is focused on earning an impressive victory to launch his UFC career. He has already expressed interest in competing at Noche UFC in Arizona or sharing a card with his brother at UFC 331 in Los Angeles later in the year, though he first must navigate his matchup with Johns at the APEX.
