Raoni Barcelos discharged from hospital 3 days after UFC loss to Raul Rosas Jr.

UFC bantamweight Raoni Barcelos was discharged from the hospital Tuesday evening, three days after losing consciousness during his UFC Vegas 121 main event against Raul Rosas Jr. at the Meta APEX. The 39-year-old posted a photo on social media showing him standing alongside his wife and son, writing in Portuguese: "Discharged and with my family. I want to thank everyone for the love, prayers and positive vibrations. God is our victory."
Barceols collapsed in the fifth round under circumstances that remain unexplained. His head coach, Davi Ramos, ruled out stroke and heart attack but confirmed doctors have not identified the cause. Before his discharge, Barcelos posted a video from his hospital bed assuring fans he was "doing really well" and undergoing standard hospital protocols. He thanked supporters for their prayers and positive messages, saying he would recover and return stronger.
In his post-fight remarks, Barcelos reflected on the loss with resilience. "I gave everything I had inside that cage," he said. "I was only leaving that cage if I was carried out, and that's exactly how it happened. It wasn't the way I wanted it to be. I wanted to become champion and leave with the victory, but God knows everything." He pledged to resume his fighting career once fully recovered and medically cleared, vowing to pursue his championship aspirations going forward.
