Allan Nascimento funeral: Charles Oliveira makes emotional promise
The Chute Boxe academy held a solemn funeral on August 5 for Allan Nascimento, the 34-year-old UFC flyweight who died after suffering a heart attack in his sleep. Teammates and coaches formed a guard of honor as Nascimento's casket was carried through the gym.
Charles Oliveira, the former UFC lightweight champion and current BMF titleholder, shared an emotional message on Instagram after the service. Fighting back tears, Oliveira promised that Nascimento's impact and legacy would endure within the Chute Boxe family. "Allanzito, you were always an example of commitment, discipline and character to our team," Oliveira said. "Be sure your legacy will never be forgotten. Now we have something even greater to fight for. Every time we step into the cage, you will be there with us, yelling 'Heeyyy.' The spirit of Chute Boxe has only grown stronger."
Nascimento, nicknamed "Puro Osso," signed with the UFC in 2021 and competed in the flyweight division. He compiled a 4-2 record in six Octagon appearances before his death. His passing has resonated deeply within the Brazilian fighting community and the broader MMA world, with teammates committing to honor his memory both inside and outside the cage.
