Former UFC security guard reacts to Dana White’s admitted bias ahead of DWCS bout: ‘It’s completely blocked out’

Sal Everett, a former UFC security guard, will compete on Tuesday's Dana White's Contender Series card at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, facing undefeated prospect Ozzy Martin in a welterweight bout. UFC CEO Dana White has publicly acknowledged he will struggle to remain unbiased during Everett's fight, a situation White has faced before with other fighters he's close to, such as Bella Mir.
Everett, 29, recently left his security position with the UFC to pursue a fighting career full-time. The welterweight prospect is undefeated as a pro at 4-0, with all four victories coming by first-round finish while competing for Tuff-N-Uff. His resume includes an eye-catching four-second knockout, demonstrating his explosive finishing power.
When asked about White's admitted bias, Everett downplayed its significance. "Yeah, it's completely blocked out," he told MMA Fighting, explaining that his years working alongside White have made him comfortable around the UFC chief. Everett praised his former boss as a genuine person and motivator, noting that White's work ethic and authenticity have inspired him. "He's a straight hustler," Everett said. "As far as he is as powerful, and as a man he is, and he's still busting his ass every single day."
His opponent, Martin, is an equally impressive 4-0 prospect from New Hampshire competing out of Cage Titans. The 24-year-old "Toro" has finished all of his professional opponents, including a lightning-quick 30-second knockout at Cage Titans 77 in July.
Everett is eager to earn a UFC contract on the strength of a victory. "By any means necessary, I'm getting that contract," he said. "That would be the best promotion I ever got in my whole life."
