DWCS Season 10, Week 9 results: UFC employee Sal Everett earns UFC contract with brutal knockout win

Sal Everett, a UFC employee who works as Dana White's personal runner, earned his UFC contract at Week 9 of Contender Series Season 10 on Tuesday night at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas with a devastating first-round knockout. Everett faced Ozzy Martin in the co-main event and came out aggressive, using his jab to pick apart Martin before landing a thunderous right hand that sent Martin to sleep at 1:57 of Round 1. It was one of the most brutal knockouts of the season, and White awarded him a contract with praise for both his fighting ability and character.
The main event featured Preston LaGrange delivering his own spectacular knockout, stopping the accomplished judoka Nell Ariano with a perfect right hand at 2:24 of Round 1. Despite Ariano landing a nice throw during the fight, LaGrange's relentless pressure and hand speed proved too much, earning him a contract as well.
Roque Conceicao impressed in his second Contender Series appearance, submitting Alexander Chavez with a triangle choke at 3:37 of Round 1. Conceicao came out fast with right hands and body kicks, and after Chavez shot for a takedown, Conceicao secured the choke. When Chavez tried to slam out, it only tightened the hold, forcing the tap.
Mateus Soares, hyped as a fighter in the mold of Jose Aldo, lived up to expectations with a lightning-quick TKO over Ryuho Miyaguchi at just 1:03 of Round 1, overwhelming Miyaguchi with blazing hand speed. Alivia Bierley extended her win streak to six consecutive victories with a unanimous decision over the previously undefeated Summer Onley (30-27, 29-28, 29-28), though White did not award her a contract despite the win.
