Raoni Barcelos says he’s ‘really fine’ following frightening UFC stoppage
Raoni Barcelos provided a positive update following his frightening stoppage at UFC Vegas 121. The Brazilian fighter was stopped in the fifth round of his main event clash with Raul Rosas Jr. after appearing to go limp during a wrestling exchange. He was transported to a hospital on a stretcher but was later confirmed to be conscious, alert, and responsive.
Barcelos addressed fans in the comments section of a UFC Brazil Instagram post, writing: "Hello everyone, I just want to say to all of you that I'm really fine and as soon as possible I'll do a video for you guys. I promised a great fight and delivered. Thank you, God and everyone that fought with me inside and outside of that Octagon."
His coach Davi Ramos had previously reassured fans that Barcelos was doing well while undergoing further medical evaluation. Barcelos remains under medical supervision as he continues his recovery, but the fighter's quick reassurance to supporters suggests no lasting complications from the incident.
