Quillan Salkilld makes candid admission after Mateusz Gamrot win

Quillan Salkilld maintained his perfect UFC record with a dominant first-round submission of Mateusz Gamrot in the main event of UFC Vegas 120 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas, improving to 6-0 inside the Octagon.

Salkilld, a Dana White's Contender Series alumnus, was tasked with facing Gamrot, a Polish lightweight known for strong wrestling credentials and durability. The matchup had been positioned as a stern test, but Salkilld controlled the action and secured Gamrot's back before locking in a rear-naked choke and forcing the submission.

After his victory, Salkilld was candid about his mental state heading into his maiden UFC main event. "I sh*t myself, yeah," he admitted. "I was nervous… I tried to stay as calm as possible and I think I did a pretty good job actually of staying poised in there. I was just focusing on having fun." Despite the nerves, Salkilld executed a composed performance, entering a meditative zone that allowed him to capitalize on opportunities.

Following the win, Salkilld called for a matchup with a top-ranked opponent but refrained from naming a specific target, letting his performance speak for itself as he continues his undefeated run in the UFC.
