Austin Bashi reveals facial fractures following UFC OKC loss
Austin Bashi sustained multiple facial fractures during his unanimous decision loss to Jose Delgado at UFC Oklahoma City. The 24-year-old took a heavy right hand early in their three-round bout, and his right eye gradually swelled shut as the fight progressed. Despite the mounting damage and severely limited vision, Bashi completed all three rounds. Medical evaluations post-fight confirmed minor fractures to both his orbital bone and his nose. On Instagram, Bashi remained positive about the setback, writing: "All glory to GOD! A little fracture in the nose, a little fracture in the orbital but we live to fight another day." He thanked his support system and vowed to rest and return to training. Bashi earned his UFC contract through Dana White's Contender Series in 2024 and now holds a 1–2 record in the Octagon, with both losses coming against Delgado and Christian Rodriguez. The damage sustained here will likely result in medical clearance requirements before his next Octagon appearance.
