Jose Delgado will step into the main event of Noche UFC 4 on September 12, replacing Yair Rodriguez in a featherweight showdown against Jean Silva at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Rodriguez withdrew from the bout for reasons not disclosed, forcing a late replacement. Delgado (12–2) enters as a significant underdog—the undefeated UFC newcomer is 4–1 since his Octagon debut in 2024, with recent decision wins over Andre Fili and Austin Bashi. Silva (17–3) represents a stark step up in opposition.

Silva is riding momentum after defeating Arnold Allen in his most recent bout, rebounding from his sole UFC loss to Diego Lopes. Before that setback, "Lord" had finished five consecutive UFC opponents. The Brazilian acknowledged the opponent change on social media, posting: "Hunter took care of everything, we have a new target. New opponent, same date, same goal."

Rodriguez's withdrawal adds to mounting scrutiny over repeated cancellations. The Mexican featherweight hasn't competed since April, when he defeated Patricio Freire to rebound from consecutive stoppage losses to Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega.
