Amateur fighter knocked out face-first into cage wall at FAC 36 in under 10 seconds

Josh Davis delivered a devastating knockout in under ten seconds to defeat Jacob Tanner in an amateur heavyweight bout at FAC 36 in Independence, Mississippi on Friday night. Davis, competing in his second amateur fight, launched a brutal running right hand that sent Tanner face-first into the cage wall, prompting an immediate referee stoppage.
The 26-year-old Missouri native, who trains under UFC veteran Trey Ogden at Marathon MMA in Kansas, has now established himself as a prospect to monitor. Davis improved to 3-0 as an amateur and has not allowed any of his fights to reach the one-minute mark. His May promotional debut lasted six seconds, and his MMA debut for Synergy FC in March went 56 seconds. Tanner, making his sanctioned MMA debut, was unable to weather the onslaught.
