Esteban Ribovics says King Green's team tried to bully him before UFC 332
Esteban Ribovics claimed a dominant victory over veteran King Green at UFC 332 on October 3, stopping the 36-time professional fighter in the opening round with three knockdowns before referee Herb Dean halted the bout.
The fight was marked by heated confrontation that began when Ribovics narrowly missed weight for the catchweight bout. Tensions escalated into a physical altercation between the two camps during the ceremonial weigh-ins, with professional boxer Arnold Barboza Jr. involved in Green's entourage. Ribovics said Green pushed him after he confronted Barboza, and that Green's team surrounded and intimidated him while issuing threats.
Ribovics told Hablemos MMA in Spanish that the prefight disrespect made his victory particularly meaningful. "This was the first time they tried to bully me and treat me disrespectfully," he said. "That's when respect flew out the window. They tried to bully me and tried to be the bad boys. They were saying we could fight here in the streets." The Argentine fighter's decisive first-round finish validated his confidence heading into the bout, which he described as the most satisfying win of his career (17-3).
