All 24 fighters on Saturday's UFC Vegas 121 card successfully made weight Friday morning in Las Vegas. In the main event, 21-year-old prospect Raul Rosas Jr. comes off a big decision win over Rob Font and will headline his first UFC event against 39-year-old Brazilian veteran Raoni Barcelos, who brings a five-fight win streak into their bantamweight clash. Both made their marks without issue.
A significant weight discrepancy emerged in a featured light heavyweight bout between Luis Hernandez and Sedriques Dumas. Hernandez, who stepped in on short notice after Mickey Gall withdrew Thursday, weighed in at 204 pounds—seven pounds heavier than Dumas at 197. The bout was shifted to 205 pounds to accommodate the late-notice change. John Castaneda required a second attempt to make weight after coming in half a pound over initially but successfully hit 136 pounds on his second try.
