Valter Walker’s teammate reveals UFC heavyweight’s secret acts of kindness
Valter Walker, the boisterous UFC heavyweight known for his outsized personality, has a quieter side that his teammates at Gor MMA deeply appreciate. Muhammad Saidov, an unbeaten Russian fighter and Walker's gym mate, recently revealed how the 16–1 heavyweight has secretly supported him through financial hardship.
Saidov told Red Corner MMA that Walker repeatedly slipped cash into his gym bag without fanfare when money was tight, and once bought him protein powder—all while keeping his generosity under wraps. "I love Valter very much," Saidov said. "Although his mentality differs from us; he's a very good-natured guy… He is not selfish at all." The undefeated fighter emphasized that despite Walker's boisterous antics, he is genuinely kind and always ready to help.
Both fighters competed at UFC Abu Dhabi, where Gor MMA had strong representation. Saidov opened the night with a second-round TKO victory over Dustin Jacoby in his UFC debut. Walker followed immediately, forcing Thomas Petersen to tap to a calf-slicer in just over 90 seconds—his fifth consecutive submission win. Teammate Bogdan Guskov also fought on the card but fell short against Magomed Ankalaev in a main-event stoppage loss on two weeks' notice. Walker's acts of kindness reveal a compassionate side rarely visible beneath his extroverted exterior.
