Scott Coker-led promotion brings on former ESPN, NFL Network executive
Scott Coker's new global MMA promotion has bolstered its advisory board with Steve Bornstein, a veteran sports media executive who previously led operations at ESPN and NFL Network. Bornstein will counsel the league on media strategy, distribution, technology, fan engagement and commercial development as it prepares for its inaugural season.
Coker praised Bornstein's track record in connecting audiences to premium live sports, calling him "one of the great builders in the history of sports media." Bornstein, in turn, expressed enthusiasm about advising the venture, emphasizing MMA's global potential and the promotion's commitment to respecting both the sport and its athletes.
Bornstein joins a high-profile advisory group that includes former TelevisaUnivision CEO Wade Davis, Oaktree Capital co-founder Steve Kaplan, former Sony Pictures Television chairman Steve Mosko and Visional founder Swimmy Minami. The assembled roster reflects Coker's ambition to build a major international MMA league backed by deep expertise across media, technology and capital.
