UFC Shanghai bonuses: Yadong Song, 3 others earn $100,000
The UFC rewarded four standout performances at UFC Shanghai with $100,000 bonuses, announced by UFC senior vice president and Asia head Kevin Chang following the August 29, 2026, card.
Yadong Song earned the Performance of the Night bonus after his stunning knockout victory over Umar Nurmagomedov in the bantamweight main event. Song's perfectly placed right uppercut behind Nurmagomedov's ear at 1:48 of Round 2 sent the favored fighter to the canvas, sealing an upset for the ages. Song overcame a challenging first round where Nurmagomedov controlled portions of the action before timing his devastating counter at a crucial moment.
Bilal Hasan also received a Performance of the Night award following his second-round knockout of Nilson Rojas. After remaining in control throughout, Hasan finished with a ruthless right hand that dropped Rojas, with follow-up strikes prompting the referee stoppage and securing Hasan's first promotional win.
Fight of the Night honors went to Ce Liu versus Levi Rodrigues. The light heavyweight bout featured sustained, heavy exchanges from the opening bell as both fighters exchanged a barrage of jabs and punches. Liu, a decorated striker known as "The Oriental Dragon," found his opening and landed a fierce right hook that floored Rodrigues and secured a first-round knockout victory at 4:26.
The card marked the UFC's third visit to Shanghai and featured a total of 10 finishes across the event, including some of the most spectacular knockout moments of the year.
