Khamzat Chimaev set to welcome Robbie Lawler back to competition

Khamzat Chimaev will face Robbie Lawler in a catchweight wrestling match at Real American Freestyle 14 on October 23 at Fontainebleau in Las Vegas. The bout will serve as the co-main event, with Arman Tsarukyan versus Dillon Danis headlining the card.

The matchup marks Lawler's RAF debut and his first competition since retiring from the UFC in 2023. The former welterweight champion has been away from active competition for over a year, making his return to the wrestling-focused promotion significant. Chimaev, nicknamed "Borz," has fully transitioned to RAF after losing his UFC middleweight title to Sean Strickland in May. Since joining the wrestling circuit, Chimaev has posted an impressive record, defeating Dillon Danis, Tyron Woodley, and Gilbert Burns—all via pinfall or technical fall.

The card will also feature Michael Page's return to competition following his controversial exit from the UFC. Page will face Russian veteran Alexander Shlemenko in his RAF debut.
