PFL Tampa weigh-in results: Cris Cyborg's opponent misses weight by 7 pounds
Cris Cyborg's PFL featherweight title will not be contested at PFL Tampa after Ketlen Vieira catastrophically missed weight by 7.2 pounds at Friday's weigh-ins. The challenger tipped the scales at 152.2 pounds, far exceeding the 145-pound featherweight limit, forcing the promotion to strip title implications from the main event and convert it to a non-title catchweight bout.
Vieira will forfeit a percentage of her purse as penalty and cannot win Cyborg's belt, despite the bout proceeding as scheduled. The former UFC bantamweight, operating under the "Fenomeno" nickname, failed to live up to expectations in the weight-cut process. Cyborg, ever the professional, made weight at exactly 145 pounds and responded to the miss with characteristic confidence, posting to social media: "Cute Boxe style. We don't care. Porrada. See you tomorrow."
Cyborg enters what may be her final MMA fight with an impressive 29-2 record and a legacy spanning multiple promotions. The Brazilian holds an 8-0 record in Bellator and PFL combined and previously captured titles in the UFC and Strikeforce. Her recent victories over Sara Collins, Larissa Pacheco, and Cat Zingano demonstrate she remains a formidable threat at championship level. Vieira, meanwhile, arrives on a concerning 2-2 stretch in her last four fights, with losses to Kayla Harrison and Norma Dumont.
