PFL Tampa results: Cris Cyborg defends title in hard-fought battle, sends message to Claressa Shields, Kayla Harrison

Cris Cyborg successfully defended her PFL featherweight title against Ketlen Vieira at PFL Tampa on Saturday, winning a grueling five-round unanimous decision. All three judges scored the fight for Cyborg (49-46, 48-47, 49-46), extending her win streak to ten consecutive victories. Vieira, who missed weight by seven pounds and was therefore ineligible to win the title, nonetheless proved a formidable challenger, testing the seasoned veteran with a blend of striking and grappling exchanges.

The fight was closely contested throughout. Cyborg relied on jabs and body work early, then shifted to takedowns in the middle rounds to control the action on the mat. Vieira fought back effectively, scoring with her own strikes and even landing a judo throw in the fourth round that left Cyborg bloodied. The final round saw both fighters trade blows until the final horn, with the combatants combining for 308 total strikes over five rounds at Benchmark International Arena. Cyborg, now 30-2 with an eight-year undefeated streak, used her post-fight platform to call out multiple opponents. She challenged boxing legend Claressa Shields, telling her to "eat less" and make 160 pounds, while also sending a direct message to UFC bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison, who attended the event to support her American Top Team teammates. Cyborg said Harrison "has been running" and expressed her readiness to face the former PFL champion.

In the co-main event, former PFL tournament winner Gadzhi Rabadanov made quick work of short-notice replacement Tracy Reeder, securing a first-round TKO. Sabrinna de Sousa scored the biggest victory of her career, defeating former UFC flyweight title challenger Taila Santos by unanimous decision. Opening the main card, Luke Trainer landed a stunning Anderson Silva-style front kick to knock out Roland Dunlap.
