Bella Mir: DWCS spot ‘most likely’ set for this summer

Bella Mir, the undefeated MMA prospect and daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, is in advanced discussions to compete on Dana White's Contender Series this summer. At the 17th Annual World MMA Awards on Wednesday, the 23-year-old confirmed to MMA Fighting that a DWCS appearance is "most likely" in the works, though no official announcement has been made.

Mir's potential DWCS bout comes amid an already packed schedule. She recently made the U23 World Team for wrestling with finals set for October, and she is also training for Final X following an injury to Kennedy Blaydes, an Olympic silver medalist. Additionally, a UFC BJJ title fight is reportedly in the pipeline. "This was always the plan," Mir said, noting that a DWCS appearance would be perfectly timed between her wrestling commitments and subsequent training windows.

The timing aligns well with Mir's multi-sport ambitions. She described her approach as "taking every opportunity thrown at me, whether it happens to be MMA or wrestling or whatever it is." Her most recent MMA outing came roughly a year ago when she locked up a first-round submission victory for Fury FC, extending her undefeated record. When asked about possible appearances on UFC cards in 2026, Mir hinted that discussions are ongoing but said she could not yet confirm details. Her combination of elite wrestling pedigree, undefeated MMA record, and growing profile in combat sports makes her a natural fit for the Contender Series pipeline.
