Alex Pereira’s sister Aline Pereira books fight on Contender Series

Aline Pereira, sister of former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira, will compete for a UFC contract on Dana White's Contender Series on October 13 in Las Vegas, facing striker Smilla Sundell.

The 35-year-old Pereira has built momentum across combat sports over the past year, scoring knockout victories in MMA before winning the Karate Combat title. She returned to mixed martial arts afterward, posting back-to-back decision wins over Nejra Repp and Jade Masson-Wong in LFA and MVP respectively, improving her record to 3-2.

Sundell brings elite striking credentials to the matchup. The ONE Championship veteran won and defended the muay Thai flyweight title across five appearances for the Asian promotion, and also claimed victory in her sole kickboxing outing there. She recently transitioned to full-time MMA, launching her career with two consecutive knockout wins over Miranda Barber and Maya Stewart under the Tuff-N-Uff banner earlier this year.

Contender Series bouts offer winners the opportunity to sign directly with the UFC, making this an important step for Pereira in following her brother's path to the world's leading mixed martial arts organization. Sundell will look to extend her undefeated MMA record while Pereira seeks to cap her late-career resurgence with promotion to the UFC roster.
