Alex Pereira’s sister reportedly set for DWCS fight against former One champ
Aline Pereira, the younger sister of former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira, is reportedly set to compete on Dana White's Contender Series Season 10. She will face Smilla Sundell in a bantamweight bout on October 13 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas—the final episode of the season.
Aline, 35, enters the DWCS with limited professional MMA experience, holding a 3–2 record. However, she has distinguished herself in combat sports beyond MMA, compiling a 6–2 kickboxing record and an undefeated 3–0 mark in Karate Combat. Most recently, she defeated Jade Masson-Wong at Most Valuable Promotions' inaugural event.
Sundell, her opponent, represents a formidable test. The 21-year-old Swede holds a 2–0 professional MMA record, with both victories coming by technical knockout under the Tuff-N-Uff banner. Before turning to MMA, Sundell was a standout in One Championship, where she won and defended the muay thai strawweight title.
A win on Contender Series would likely earn Aline a UFC contract, following in her brother's footsteps. The matchup offers her a chance to prove that her combat sports pedigree translates to success in mixed martial arts, while Sundell seeks to extend her undefeated MMA record on the sport's biggest developmental stage.
