UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento dead at 34

UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento has died at the age of 34. On Monday, August 3rd, Nascimento was found unresponsive in his sleep after suffering an apparent heart attack. Medical personnel who responded to the scene were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the location. The UFC released a statement extending condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and loved ones.
Nascimento had been an active mixed martial artist since 2011. He earned his shot in the UFC after competing on the Contender Series in 2018, though he lost that bout to Raulian Paiva via split decision. Despite the setback, he went on to compete in the octagon six times, compiling a 4–2 record and earning two Performance of the Night bonuses during his tenure with the promotion. His most recent fight came in June at UFC Vegas 119, where he lost a split decision to Mitch Raposo. His death marks a significant loss to the MMA community and the flyweight division.
