UFC 333 gets Volkanovski-Evloev title fight, Yan-Dvalishvili trilogy
The UFC has officially announced the main card for UFC 333, set for October 24 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event will feature a featherweight title clash headlining the card, with reigning champion Alexander Volkanovski (28–4, 15–3 UFC) defending against undefeated challenger Movsar Evloev (20–0, 10–0 UFC). Volkanovski returns after consecutive decision wins over Diego Lopes, most recently on January 31. Evloev earned his title shot by stringing together 10 consecutive victories inside the Octagon.
The co-main event will be a bantamweight trilogy decider between Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili. Their first meeting in March 2023 saw Dvalishvili (21–5, 14–3 UFC) secure a unanimous decision. Yan (20–5, 12–4 UFC) evened the series last December, outpointing "The Machine" to claim the divisional title. Both fighters rank among the sport's elite pound-for-pound talents and currently hold top positions in their weight class.
The remainder of the card includes:
Lone'er Kavanagh vs. Ramazonbek Temirov, 125 pounds
Alexander Volkov vs. Rizvan Kuniev, heavyweight
Arnold Allen vs. Aaron Pico, 145 pounds
Dominick Reyes vs. Azamat Murzakanov, 205 pounds
