Movsar Evloev has a blunt response to Alexander Volkanovski’s UFC 333 plan

Undefeated featherweight Movsar Evloev has dismissed Alexander Volkanovski's game plan ahead of their UFC 333 title clash on October 24 in Abu Dhabi. The Russian, fighting for the championship for the first time in the UFC, expressed confidence that his improvements—particularly in striking—will overwhelm the two-time champion.

Evloev (20-0) acknowledged the honor of facing a legend but made clear his belief in his own superiority. "To become a champion while beating a legend, that's the dream of fighters," Evloev told MMA Junkie. "My skills are getting better. My striking, everyone noticed, is a little bit better than before. We're confident to fight with a guy like Alex. We respect him. We'll respect him even after we beat him. Nothing but respect, but this is my time."

Volkanovski (28-4) has previously stated he can neutralize Evloev's wrestling pressure and dictate the fight on the feet. Evloev questioned that strategy, predicting he will control the bout regardless of where it takes place. "He's been a little illogical," Evloev said. "I will do anything I want. Whenever I decide to take him down, I will take him down. I'm not scared of his striking skills, too. He's great. But my time is coming. October 24, everybody will see. I'm going to win." The winner will hold the UFC featherweight title, one of combat sports' most competitive divisions.
