Bryan Battle vs. Dalton Rosta headlines PFL Charlotte in August

The PFL will return to North Carolina on August 7 for an event at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, headlined by a middleweight clash between Bryan Battle and Dalton Rosta.

Battle, who grew up in Charlotte despite being born in Missouri, returns home as a recognizable prospect from his appearance on The Ultimate Fighter 29. He departed the UFC in 2024 after recurring weight-cutting struggles and spent time competing in Dirty Boxing before joining the PFL in March. His promotional debut came against former champion Johnny Eblen, a loss by submission that marked a difficult start to his new tenure.

Rosta brings Bellator pedigree to the card. The veteran middleweight transitioned to PFL in 2025 and reached that year's tournament finals before losing to Fabien Edwards. He sought redemption in March but was stopped by Impa Kasanganay, leaving him looking to rebuild.

The event will also feature additional middleweight action. Josh Silveira, a PFL fixture who finished runner-up in the 2023 middleweight tournament, faces Aaron Jeffery. Silveira recently earned a decision victory over Murad Ramazanov last August. Jeffery, like Rosta, spent much of his career in Bellator before joining PFL in 2025; the two have history, with Jeffery losing a split decision to Rosta in June. In the third middleweight bout, Josh Fremd—a journeyman who competed across multiple promotions and recently won in BKFC in April—takes on Jhony Gregory. Gregory joined PFL last year and holds a 1-1 record in the promotion, most recently defeating Haider Khan at PFL Dubai in February.
