Joe Lauzon wins bare-knuckle debut after scoring 5 brutal knockdowns

Joe Lauzon made a triumphant return to combat sports in his bare-knuckle debut, dominating Stash Kuykendall with devastating striking at Fenway Park in Boston on Saturday night. The 42-year-old UFC veteran, fighting at home in the historic baseball stadium, wasted no time establishing his superiority, scoring five knockdowns en route to a second-round TKO victory.

Lauzon came out aggressively from the opening bell, driving Kuykendall to the ropes and unleashing brutal body shots followed by a right hand that produced the first knockdown. He remained relentless, scoring a second knockdown moments later before earning a third before the round ended. On the restart, Lauzon quickly added a fourth knockdown, making Kuykendall's fate inevitable.

The decisive blow came at 49 seconds of the second round when Lauzon landed a devastating left hand that twisted Kuykendall's head violently and sent him face-first to the canvas. Though Kuykendall managed to rise, he was too badly damaged for referee Dan Miragliotta to allow the fight to continue.

After the victory, Lauzon suggested his bare-knuckle foray may be a one-time appearance, noting he'd consider returning only if BKFC held another event at Fenway.
