PFL Austin card updated after injuries force two matchup changes
The PFL Austin card, scheduled for July 18 at Moody Center, has undergone lineup changes due to injuries. Levy Saul Marroquin has been pulled from the event, leading to a new featherweight bout: Joey Ruquet will now face former PFL featherweight champion Jesus Pinedo at 145 pounds.
The main event remains intact, with former Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen defending an interim PFL middleweight title against 2023 PFL light heavyweight tournament winner Impa Kasanganay. The fight was scheduled after undisputed champion Costello van Steenis suffered an injury.
The co-main event has also shifted. Rafael do Nascimento steps in to face 2024 PFL Europe bantamweight champion Lewis McGrillene-Evans following Sergio Pettis' withdrawal due to injury.
The televised main card also features featherweight action between Caolan Loughran and Julio Arce, followed by the Pinedo–Ruquet bout.
Preliminary bouts include: Biaggio Ali Walsh vs. Gamid Khizriev (lightweight), Andrea Vazquez vs. Aleksandra Savicheva, unbeaten prospect Mia Grawe vs. Ashley Thiner, Jackson Glass vs. Zak Flessas (featherweight), and Victoria Alba vs. Borena Tsertsvadze (women's flyweight).
The main card airs Saturday, July 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, with prelims beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET on the ESPN App.
