Valter Walker says Shara ‘Bullet’ repeatedly pulled hair during training

Heavyweight Valter Walker has shed light on Sharabutdin "Shara Bullet" Magomedov's propensity for fouls in training, claiming the unorthodox Russian striker repeatedly committed illegal techniques during their time sparring at GOR MMA. Following Magomedov's co-headline bout against Michel Pereira at UFC Baku—which featured multiple eye pokes—Walker revealed in an interview with Brazilian outlet Sexto Round that he shaved his head specifically to prevent hair-pulling during sparring sessions.

"When I had long hair, every time I trained with Shara, he would pull my hair and knee me in the face while holding onto it," Walker recalled. "I'd tell Coach Gor (Azizyan), and he'd applaud Shara—mostly because Shara is his favorite son. I think that's really wrong, and it was one of the reasons I shaved my head." Walker suggested Magomedov's eye-poking during the Pereira fight was not an isolated incident but part of a consistent pattern.

Walker appeared lighthearted when addressing the issue, speculating humorously that the fouls stem from psychological motivations, but acknowledged the uncomfortable position he faces as a Brazilian fighter training among the Russian collective. He cited GOR MMA's philosophy of "anything goes" in a combat sports context, explaining that speaking out carried social risk within the gym hierarchy.
