Vadim Nemkov draws familiar foe for PFL heavyweight title defense

Vadim Nemkov will defend his PFL heavyweight title against Sergey Bilostenniy in the main event of PFL Dubai on November 14 at Coca-Cola Arena. The former Bellator champion, who moved up to the heavyweight division in 2024 and captured PFL gold in December of that year, faces the No. 3-ranked Bilostenniy in what marks the promotion's first Dubai main event since the merger with Most Valuable Promotions.

Both fighters share deep roots in Team Fedor, the renowned Russian training camp. Nemkov, a protégé of Fedor Emelianenko, has continued the gym's heavyweight legacy at the elite level. Bilostenniy, ranked fourth in the division, has established himself as a dangerous contender with a 4-1 PFL record, featuring notable finishes over Karl Williams, Tyrell Fortune, and former PFL champion Renan Ferreira. The two have previously trained together, adding familiarity to what is shaping up to be a significant heavyweight clash.

PFL CEO John Martin emphasized the historic significance of the matchup in a statement: "Dubai has become a special city for PFL and the site of some unforgettable moments in our history. Both fighters have roots in Team Fedor and represent the next generation of Russia's storied heavyweight tradition and now they'll meet to determine who sits atop one of the most prestigious divisions in combat sports."
