Dakota Ditcheva outpoints Denise Kielholtz in underwhelming performance at PFL New York

Dakota Ditcheva remained undefeated at PFL New York on Saturday, outpointing Denise Kielholtz in the co-main event at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York. Ditcheva, one of the promotion's marquee fighters and the 2024 PFL flyweight tournament champion, swept the scorecards in a unanimous decision after more than a year away from competition.
Ditcheva controlled much of the bout as a heavy betting favorite, but struggled to generate the dominant, statement-making performance expected from her. The opening round was slow, with Kielholtz's defensive soundness limiting Ditcheva's offense. Action picked up in the second round when Ditcheva hurt Kielholtz several times and opened up her striking, but the third round stalled as Kielholtz proved too durable and defensively sharp to be finished by Ditcheva's one-shot attacks.
While the decision victory kept Ditcheva's unbeaten record intact, some of the shine came off her return. Notably, the PFL opted not to grant her a post-fight interview, moving directly to the main event between Usman Nurmagomedov and Archie Colgan. For a rising star expected to make a statement, the lackluster performance and production snub marked an underwhelming reentry into the cage.
