Sean King slams Raul Rosas’ brother unconscious at Noche UFC

Sean King III made an emphatic statement in his UFC debut at Noche UFC on Saturday, finishing Jessie Rosas—the older brother of UFC prospect Raul Rosas—in just 36 seconds of their preliminary bout.

Accepted on nine days' notice, King faced Rosas in what became a showcase for the undefeated "King of New Orleans." Early in the opening round, King slipped under a left hand from Rosas and immediately drove into a takedown attempt. As Rosas defended, King hoisted him high into the air and slammed him violently to the mat, rendering him unconscious. King followed up with ground-and-pound on the downed Rosas before the referee halted the action, ending the fight at the 36-second mark of round one.

The spectacular slam finish improves King's professional record to 7-0, with five of those victories coming by finish. At just 22 years old and having turned professional only last year, King's rapid ascent—combined with his finishing ability and willingness to accept short-notice fights at the sport's highest level—suggests significant potential ahead for the New Orleans fighter.
