UFC 331 card just got deeper with anticipated rematches, return of Gable Steveson

The UFC 331 card, scheduled for September 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, has grown with the addition of four new bouts, including the return of heavyweight Gable Steveson and an anticipated lightweight rematch between Brian Ortega and Renato Moicano.

Steveson, who made his UFC debut against Elisha Ellison in July, will face Sean Sharaf in his second Octagon appearance. Sharaf enters the bout winless in his first two UFC fights. Robelis Despaigne returns to the promotion after building momentum elsewhere and will take on Tai Tuivasa, who is attempting to snap a seven-fight losing streak. In the middleweight division, Ryan Gandra will meet Osman Diaz. Gandra has recent knockout wins over Jose Medina and Zach Reese, while Diaz is rebounding from a loss to Ateba Abega Gautier.

The lightweight rematch between Ortega and Moicano marks a significant move for Ortega, a former two-time featherweight title challenger who is committing to lightweight competition. The pair originally fought nearly a decade ago at featherweight, with Ortega earning a submission victory. Moicano enters the rematch coming off a submission win over Chris Duncan.

The event will be headlined by Joshua Van's flyweight title rematch against former champion Alexandre Pantoja.
