Steven Asplund targets Johnny Walker at UFC 335 with famous GSP line
Steven Asplund has called out Johnny Walker following Walker's impressive heavyweight debut at UFC 332, channeling one of mixed martial arts' most iconic moments in the process. Walker knocked out Mick Parkin with a knee strike in the opening round at the Salt Lake City event, earning a $100,000 performance bonus for the emphatic finish.
Asplund, who holds an 8–2 record and is 2–1 since joining the UFC via Dana White's Contender Series, issued his challenge via Instagram Stories, deliberately recreating Georges St. Pierre's unforgettable 2006 callout of Matt Hughes. That moment—delivered immediately after Hughes defeated B.J. Penn at UFC 63—became one of the most awkwardly memorable exchanges in UFC history, with St. Pierre uncharacteristically telling Hughes he wasn't impressed with his performance.
Asplund mimicked that exact line while targeting Walker: "Johnny Walker, I'm not impressed by your performance. And come on, man, meet me in December at T-Mobile, brother, you big bastard." He's proposing the matchup take place at UFC 335 in Las Vegas in December. Walker, now 23–10 with one no-contest, is making his mark at heavyweight after the dominant showing against Parkin.
