UFC 330: Surging welterweight finisher faces hometown veteran on Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Machado Garry fight card

UFC 330 has added a welterweight matchup to its August 15 card at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. Myktybek Orolbai will face Jeremiah Wells on the event headlined by Islam Makhachev versus Ian Machado Garry for the welterweight title.

Orolbai, 28, has emerged as one of the promotion's most exciting finishers since his UFC debut in November 2023. The fighter holds a 5–1 record in the organization and is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. His recent victories include stoppage wins over Tofiq Musayev and Jack Hermansson, followed by a decisive decision victory against Chris Curtis in March. After mixing competition between lightweight and welterweight early in his tenure, Orolbai has settled into the welterweight division.

Wells, a Philadelphia native, enters the bout looking to bounce back from a two-fight losing skid against Carlston Harris and Max Griffin. He has spent six years in the UFC and will look to build momentum following a decision win over Themba Gorimbo last November. The matchup represents an opportunity for Wells to establish himself in a competitive welterweight landscape as Orolbai continues his ascent.
