BKFC boss says promotion can ‘force excitement’ out of Michael Page

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship president Dave Feldman has expressed interest in welcoming Michael "Venom" Page back to the promotion following the Englishman's UFC departure. Page completed his Ultimate Fighting Championship contract with a unanimous decision win over Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris, finishing his run at 5-1 despite the promotion choosing not to renew his deal.

Page's UFC tenure was marked by a lack of finishes and cautious performances that failed to captivate audiences, leading the organization to move on. Feldman, however, believes the bare-knuckle format could unlock a more dynamic version of the fighter.

"I don't know if his contract is actually terminated," Feldman said in an interview with Bloody Elbow. "That's a pretty fast time to get his contract terminated, so I don't want to make any moves on him yet. We would definitely welcome MVP. When he fought for us with Mike Perry, it was a pretty exciting match, and a lot of people actually thought he won that fight."

Feldman emphasized that BKFC's ruleset naturally forces engagement. "You can't really be boring in BKFC, so it's hard for him to fight that type of fight in BKFC," Feldman added. "We would be interested? Yes. I think BKFC will force excitement out of MVP and I think that the fans would love that." Page previously competed in BKFC in 2022, losing a majority decision to Mike Perry in a competitive affair.
