Charles Johnson vs. Jose Ochoa added to UFC 330

A pivotal flyweight clash has been added to UFC 330. Charles Johnson (19–9) will face Jose Ochoa (9–2) on August 15 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, reinforcing the division ahead of Islam Makhachev's welterweight title defence against Ian Garry.

Johnson remains one of the UFC's most active fighters, already competing three times in 2026, though his results have proved inconsistent across his last six bouts, alternating between victories and defeats. He holds notable wins over Lone'er Kavanagh and current champion Joshua Van, but has suffered losses to Asu Almabayev, Alex Perez and Ramazonbek Temirov.

Ochoa, a 25-year-old Peruvian prospect, seeks to build momentum in the 125-pound division. Since joining the UFC, he has compiled a 2–2 record and enters the matchup on the back of a unanimous decision victory over Clayton Carpenter in May.

The UFC 330 card is headlined by Makhachev versus Garry, with a women's strawweight title bout between Mackenzie Dern and Gillian Robertson serving as co-main event.
