Rafael dos Anjos returns to fight Alexander Hernandez at UFC 332

Rafael dos Anjos is set to return to action at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City on October 3, facing welterweight Alexander Hernandez in a bid to snap a three-fight losing streak.
The 41-year-old Brazilian former UFC lightweight champion has been sidelined since October 2024, when he suffered a devastating 90-second technical knockout loss to a knee injury at UFC 308—an injury later diagnosed as a torn ACL. That defeat marked the third consecutive loss for dos Anjos, who also fell to Mateusz Gamrot and Vicente Luque. The matchup against Hernandez (18-9, 10-8 UFC record) will be the 50th professional bout of dos Anjos' storied career.
Hernandez, 18-9 overall, is also coming off a setback. The welterweight lost a unanimous decision to Rafa Garcia in April 2025, ending a four-fight win streak that featured knockouts of Diego Ferreira and Chase Hooper.
UFC 332 takes place at Delta Center in Salt Lake City on October 3. The event's main event has yet to be announced.
