Undefeated prospect loses second DWCS shot due to Visa issue

Brazilian bantamweight Frank da Silva Castro's second shot at Dana White's Contender Series has fallen apart due to visa complications. The 22-year-old prospect (8-0-1) was scheduled to face Colton Loud (7-1) on DWCS Week 5 on September 8 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas, but immigration issues have forced him off the card. This marks the second time Castro has lost a DWCS opportunity; he was originally booked against An Tuan Ho last year before withdrawing for undisclosed reasons. Castro has maintained his undefeated record on the regional circuit and was seen as a genuine threat to land a UFC contract. He will be replaced by undefeated prospect Christian Natvidad (9-0), whose gym confirmed the change on Instagram. While Castro still has considerable time at 22 to pursue a UFC contract, he will likely need to return to regional competition to build additional resume credentials while sorting out his visa status.
